The Account page

  • Profile: the name shown to other members.
  • Organisations: every organisation you belong to and your role in it.
  • Security:
    • Change password signs you out of every browser and disconnects terminal access; sign in again afterwards. An account created with Google shows Set a password instead.
    • Two-factor authentication adds an authenticator app. Keep the recovery codes it shows; each works once if you lose the device. After five wrong authenticator codes in a row, AIUS stops taking authenticator codes for 15 minutes (longer if it happens again); a recovery code still works.
  • Activity log: View activity lists your sign-ins, security changes and the work events you took part in.
  • Delete account removes your sign-in and closes the organisations you own. Transfer ownership first to keep an organisation active. Registering again with the same email creates a new account; it does not restore the old one.

Signing in with Google

Continue with Google on the sign-in page signs you in with your Google account. The first time, it creates an AIUS Light account for your Google address, with its own personal organisation. If an AIUS Light account already uses that address, AIUS asks for that account’s password once to connect Google to it; after that, Continue with Google alone signs you in. With two-factor authentication on, AIUS also asks for an authenticator or recovery code, at every sign-in. If the account with that address has no password (it was created with a different Google account), AIUS cannot connect it: sign in the way you did before, or contact AIUS support. An account created with Google has no password. To sign in with your email too, open Account, choose Set a password under Security, and sign in again. A password is also needed to turn on two-factor authentication or delete the account.

Accounts from aius.co sign in to AIUS Light with the same email and password, or with Google if they used Google there.

Registering and a forgotten password

When you register, AIUS emails a six-digit code to your address; enter it to create the account. The code is valid for 15 minutes. If you forget your password, choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page, enter your email address, and set a new password with the code AIUS emails you. With two-factor authentication on, you also enter an authenticator or recovery code. A new password signs you out of every browser and disconnects terminal access.
